San Diego Alcohol and Substance Use Treatment

san_francisco_1

At AToN Center, we provide private, luxury residential treatment in San Diego for individuals working through alcohol and drug concerns.

Our approach is highly personalized because substance use rarely exists on its own. Stress, trauma, relationships, physical health, and mental health can all influence why someone uses alcohol or drugs and what they need in order to move forward.

Rather than asking only how we can stop a behavior, we work with each resident to better understand what is driving it. Through individualized clinical care, evidence-based therapies, and a holistic approach, we create space for people to reconnect with themselves and begin building a more sustainable recovery.

If you are considering treatment for yourself or someone you love, our admissions team can talk through your concerns, explain what residential care entails, and help you determine whether the AToN Center may be the right fit.

Addiction Treatment in San Diego

Effective addiction treatment should account for the whole person, not simply the substance being used. At our San Diego center, we develop an individualized treatment plan based on each resident's history, needs, goals, and current challenges.

Our residential treatment environment provides residents with time away from the pressures of everyday life, allowing them to focus more fully on healing. Treatment may incorporate individual therapy, group therapy, family work, holistic services, and relapse-prevention strategies. When appropriate, we also address co-occurring mental health concerns that may be contributing to substance use.

For people navigating drug and alcohol addiction, that deeper work can be an important part of creating long-term recovery rather than focusing only on short-term abstinence.

Alcohol Addiction Treatment With a Whole-Person Focus

Our alcohol treatment program is designed for individuals experiencing alcohol addiction or alcohol use disorder who may benefit from the structure and support of residential care.

Alcohol detox and withdrawal symptoms can require careful medical attention, particularly for people with a history of heavy or prolonged alcohol use. Our treatment team evaluates each resident's circumstances so that the detox process and subsequent treatment plan can be approached safely and thoughtfully.

Once someone is medically stable, treatment can move beyond the physical effects of alcohol and focus on the emotional and behavioral patterns surrounding use. That may include understanding triggers, improving coping skills, rebuilding relationships, and developing practical tools that support long-term sobriety.

If you are unsure whether residential alcohol treatment is appropriate, contact AToN Center and speak with our team about what you have been experiencing. We can help you understand the next steps without judgment or pressure.

Drug Rehab and Treatment for Substance Use Disorders

Our drug rehab services support people experiencing a range of substance use disorders. We recognize that drug addiction can affect physical health, relationships, work, and emotional well-being differently for every person.

For individuals struggling with benzodiazepines, our benzodiazepine treatment program provides specialized support for the unique challenges associated with dependence and withdrawal. Treatment may also address other forms of substance abuse and the mental health concerns that frequently occur alongside them.

Rather than treating every resident according to the same protocol, we build treatment programs around individual needs and adjust care as those needs evolve.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment and Mental Health

Substance use and mental health are often closely connected. Anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and other co-occurring disorders can influence both the development of problematic substance use and the recovery journey.

Our dual diagnosis treatment approach allows residents to work on these concerns alongside addiction recovery. Through therapies such as EMDR, residents may have opportunities to process experiences that continue to affect their present-day behaviors and emotional responses.

We also recognize the role relationships can play in recovery. Our family therapy program creates opportunities for residents and loved ones to improve communication, better understand harmful patterns, and begin rebuilding trust with the guidance of our clinical team.

Insurance Accepted at AToN Center

Concerns about insurance coverage should not prevent someone from learning about treatment. AToN Center accepts many PPO plans and is in-network with Anthem. Depending on the private insurance policy, benefits may cover a portion of the cost of residential treatment.

We also accept most PPO insurance plans with out-of-network benefits, including those from major insurance carriers. Because every policy is different, our admissions team can help you understand your benefits before treatment begins.

You can pre-verify your insurance benefits or contact us directly if you would rather speak with someone about coverage and treatment options.

Choosing AToN Drug Rehab was the best decision I made. I learned about my depression and my addiction. I needed this – my family needed this. I hope I never have to send someone to a rehab but is I do – this is the only place I would send them.
